Best Principal Award 2012
Our Principal, Dr.R.W. Alexander Jesudasan, won the Best Principal Award 2012, instituted by the All Indian Association for Christian Higher Education, New Delhi and Sam Higginbottom Institute of Agriculture, Technology and Sciences. Justice M.S.A Siddiqui, Chairman, National Commission for Minority Educational Institutions, presented the award in recognition of his “academic leadership, administrative vision, for helping the progress of students and stakeholders and his commitment to professional ethics”
Alumni Carol Concert

Alumni Carol Concert was held at Madras Christian College Higher Secondary School, Chetpet, Chennai on 12 & 13 December 2011.
MCC College Choir, Stella Maris College Choir, The Mellow Circle, Chariots, Crotchets and Quavers, St. Andrews Kirk Choir, Octet Cantabile, Canticles, MCC School Choir,
Organized Chaos, Women's Christian College Choir, MCC Campus School Choir, The Choir of the Madras Musical Association, Lutheran Men's Voice, Emmanuel Methodist Church Choir, Chariots, St Thomas Orthodox Cathedral Choir, Voyz Male, and MCC Alumni Choir participated in the event.
Principal Visits Liverpool Hope University
The Principal, Dr. R. W. Alexander Jesudasan is on academic visit to Liverpool Hope University, UK, from 31 October to 16 November 2011 to deliver a series of lectures.
Holidays & Revised Schedule
In view of the forthcoming local body elections, October 19, 20, & 21 will be holidays. 22 October will be a working day with day order 5 and 24th October with day order 2. On 25 October hall tickets will be issued and study holidays begin on the same day. End of Semester exam begins on 31 October. The new semester will begin as scheduled on 18 November.
Thamizh Peravai inauguration
The Thamizh Peravai inaugural function was held in the Anderson Hall on 14 October 2011. Dr. T. Gnana Sundaram, former Professor of Tamil, Pachaiyappa's College, Chennai and Mr. Rajesh, the well known film actor were the guests.
Inter School Athletic Meet
Department of Physical Education & Health Sciences conducted the II PEDAHS Inter School Athletic Meet at the MCC sports grounds on 14 October 2011. Mr. A. Rajan, an international athlete and athletic coach of Sports Development Authority of Tamil Nadu, Chennai was the chief guest. The Principal, Dr. Alexander Jesudasan and the Bursar, Mr. C. Sundaraj were present at the occasion and distributed the prizes.
Sekhar Dattatri Speaks on Forest Conservation

Mr. Shekhar Dattatri, a National Geographic popular wildlife and conservation film maker and a member of the National Board for Wildlife, visited the college and delivered a lecture on "India's Forest Reserves and Wildlife Sactuaries" on 20 September 2011.
The lecture was followed by the screening of one his documentaries "SOS: Save Our Sholas".
PG Botany Club Meeting
The third meeting of PG Botany Club of the Department of Plant Biology and Plant Biotechnology was held on 19 September 2011 at 2.30 pm. Dr. Nather Khan Bin Ibrahim, an alumnus of the college, and Executive Director of ECOTONE ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT SDN BHD, Malaysia gave a talk on ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT ASSESSMENT IN MALAYSIA.
Members of the faculty, research Scholars and PG students attended the programmme.
Non-Resident Women's Forum: Inauguration
The inauguration of the Non-Resident Women's Forum was held on 25 August 2011 at 11.30 a.m. in the Anderson Hall. Mr. Rose Venkatesan, Director, Chennai Feasible Solutions, Pvt Ltd. was the Chief Guest. The Principal Dr. R.W. Alexander Jesudasan presided over the function.
The Staff Study Circle for the month of August 2011 was held on Thursday the 4th of August 2011 at the residence of the Bursar, Mr. C. Sundaraj. Rev. Dr. John M. Prasad, Principal, Jubilee Memorial Bible College, Vandalur spoke on the topic "Religion and Discrimination". The members of the faculty actively participated in the discussion.
