Dr. Mekala Rajan began her teaching career in the year 1987 in Lady Doak College, Madurai and continued to work in different institutions before she joined Madras Christian College in 1999. She has been teaching Elizabethan Poetry, American Literature, Modern Fiction and Post Colonial Literature at the undergraduate and postgraduate level. She also teaches Personality Development and Soft Skills.
Dr. Mekala's area of specialization is Biblical Literature and Fiction. Her doctoral research was on "Imagery in Biblical Wisdom Literature".
