 Martin Hall  Martin Hall Martin Hall enjoys the pride of place of being the only Women's residence Hall, among the 4 residence halls of Madras Christian College. Since its inception in 1968, Martin Hall has grown from strength to strength and now boasts of facilities like The Agnes Martin Auditorium, a library, an Indoor Games and Recreation Centre and outdoor badminton and throw-ball courts. Martin Hall is home to 164 women students from not only India but from other places like Tibet and Sri Lanka. Galarompics: Galarompics, an inter Hall sports event, has been hosted by Martin Hall for the boys halls from 1996-1997. The year, to mark ten years of Galarompics,various stalls were put up. Martinians proudly wear their t-shirts emblazoned with the logo of Martin Hall on this day. The t-shirt says it all...Martin Hall is truly stronger by the decade. Fashion Show for MoonShadow'06.Martinians actively participate in inter-hall competitions and activities as well as intra college competitions. Christmas Program: The Martin Hall Christmas Program is eagerly awaited each year for its meaningful programs and also for the inter-block decoration competition. Prayer: Prayer at Martin Hall is regarded as a time to get-together and praise the Lord. Often guests and staff are invited to lead the prayer. Sports Day: Martin Hall has housed many an athlete, from sprinters to shot-putters. Sports day is the perfect opportunity to display their athletic prowess, merit and team spirit. Vatika: This inter hall garden competition was first hosted in 1997-98, to commemorate 3o years of women's residency in the campus. It has been held every alternate year since then. Hall Day: Hall day is a day of pride for every Martinian, as they present Martin Hall to the other residents of the boys halls and the non- residents. It is an evening marked by entertainment and celebration of another glorious year gone by in Martin Hall.
